UCI Olympians bring home gold in men’s volleyball, silver in men’s water polo

Four former UCI students – Ryan Bailey, Tim Hutten, Jeff Powers and Rick Merlo – played on the U.S. men’s national water polo team and took home silver medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Additionally, two UCI volleyball coaches, John Speraw and Jay Hosack, were on staff for the men’s national indoor volleyball team, which took home gold.
