On Oct. 9, 2009, UCI Parking & Transportation Services and The Collegiate Bike Co. launched ZotWheels, the University of California’s first automated bike-sharing program. It lets students, faculty and staff borrow a bicycle for a couple of hours by swiping a membership card at a self-serve vending station.
